Description
Epithalon (also known as Epitalon or Epithalone) is a synthetic tetrapeptide with the amino acid sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly (AEDG). It is a synthetic analogue of the naturally occurring pineal gland peptide epithalamin, and is studied in research settings for its interaction with telomerase activity and the regulation of pineal gland function.
The molecular formula of Epithalon is C14H22N4O9, with a molar mass of approximately 390.35 g/mol.
Solubility Information
Epithalon is highly hydrophilic and dissolves readily in bacteriostatic or sterile water at room temperature — unlike hydrophobic peptides, no DMSO or other solvent is required for reconstitution.
